Digital Elevation and Bathymetric Models
TERRAIN FEATURES - ELEVATION

The Copernicus WorldDEM-30 (GLO-30) for the islands and islets of Cabo Verde is provided without modification, apart from clipping to the boundaries of the archipelago’s emerged land areas. A total of 13 GeoTIFF files are provided, with a Float32 data type and an approximate horizontal spatial resolution of 30 metres (slightly finer than 30 m). The datasets are georeferenced in WGS 84 / UTM Zone 26N (EPSG:32626) or WGS 84 / UTM Zone 27N (EPSG:32627). A QGIS style file (*.qml) is also provided, enabling elevation to be visualised using 16 distinct hypsometric classes.

The Copernicus WorldDEM-30 (GLO-30) GeoTIFFs for the islands and islets of Cabo Verde were prepared by Nuno de Santos Loureiro by clipping the original data to the boundaries of the archipelago’s emerged land areas. The accompanying QGIS style file was also created by Nuno de Santos Loureiro. All files are available for free download and use under the Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence. Attribution to the original data source is required when using these data.
